Prayer for the Restoration of Israel and Nations

'I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. You have not given me into the hands of the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place. '

Father God, we (I) pray for Israel.

Father God!

On March 1, the 42-day first ceasefire ended in Israel's sorrow and grief after the bodies of the four hostages returned on February 27 were confirmed to have been killed. On March 3, the US proposed a second ceasefire extension for the remaining 59 hostages (24 alive, 35 dead), and the US mediation proposal proposed that half of them be released on the first and last days of Ramadan and Passover. In addition, Qatar and Egypt proposed a two-week ceasefire extension for three hostages, but Hamas rejected all of them. As no agreement was reached on the release of additional hostages, Israel said it would escalate its actions against Hamas, cut off humanitarian aid, cut off water and electricity to the Gaza Strip, and prepare to resume fighting early next week. US Secretary of State Rubio has decided to provide $4 billion in emergency military assistance to Israel and to deploy US B-52 bombers to the Middle East to conduct strategic joint exercises.

Father God, negotiations for the release of the remaining hostages held in the Gaza Strip are at a standstill, and there is no progress, and it is estimated that fighting will resume in Gaza in the next 10 days. Please comfort Israel and help negotiations for the remaining hostages in Hamas’s tunnels and the evil situation continue, and work for the return of all the remaining hostages. During the last ceasefire period, there were days of pain and sorrow, with the confessions of the suffering received from the returned hostages in the Gaza tunnels and the funerals of the bodies returned every week. Please comfort and strengthen the families, friends, and relatives of the remaining hostages who are still waiting with anxious hearts and prayers. “Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God (Isaiah 40:1). We want to comfort Israel. Please grant the Lord’s peace to this land and its people. We pray that the mental and emotional pain caused by the suffering they endured as hostages of Hamas for over 500 days will be healed. Please protect the Israeli people who have suffered physical and emotional hardships from this war by seeking God’s peace and overcoming the trauma of war through God’s comfort, and not suffering from suffering and depression. Please comfort the parents of the young soldiers who gave their lives to protect their country and their families, the families who lost their husbands and fathers, and the parents who lost their children, and please heal the many wounded soldiers quickly. “Thus says the Lord: The captives of the mighty will be taken, and the prey of the fearful will be rescued; for I will fight against those who fight against you, and I will save your children” (Isaiah 49:25) According to this word, please save the hostages, fight against Hamas, the enemy who started this evil, and ultimately save Israel. Please let Israel come ultimately before the Lord God and become a people who trust in the Lord God who heals and saves. We pray that God’s covenant words for Israel will be fulfilled.

Last week, there were many casualties from major terrorist attacks in Israel. On February 27, a 53-year-old Arab man drove his car into a bus stop in the northern Israeli city of Pardes Hanna, injuring 13 people, including a 16-year-old girl who was in critical condition and three others who were seriously injured. The terrorist fled, collided with a patrol car, got out, and attempted to attack a police officer with his driver before being shot dead. On the morning of March 3, a stabbing attack occurred at the Lev Hamifrats bus terminal in the northern city of Haifa, killing a 70-year-old man and seriously injuring a man and a woman in their 30s, a 15-year-old boy, and a woman in her 70s. The terrorist shouted "Allahu Akbar" (Arabic for "God is Great") and indiscriminately attacked people with a knife. And was shot and killed by a bus stop security guard at the scene.

Father God, as the ceasefire with Hamas is coming to an end and Hamas’s infrastructure refuses to negotiate the release of the hostages, it continues to threaten civilians by committing terrorism throughout Israel. Innocent civilians are losing their lives and being injured. “Let those who seek my life be ashamed and put to shame; let those who seek my harm be turned back and put to shame. Let them be like chaff before the wind; let the angel of the Lord drive them out; let their way be dark and slippery; let the angel of the Lord pursue them.” (Psalm 35:1-6) Let the remnants of Hamas who commit terrorism and seek to attack Israel be defeated, and send your angels to block their way, make it dark and slippery, and rule over them, remove them, and grant them your peace. To God the Father, who has restored this land according to the promise written through the prophets and has fulfilled the living word of the Lord by having the scattered people of Israel return, We pray with the words, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: those who love you will prosper” (Psalm 122:6). At this time, please grant the Lord’s peace to Jerusalem, the entire land of Israel, and the people who are fearful and anxious due to Hamas's evil war and terrorism. We praise the Lord God who protects Israel forever according to the written word.

Since February 28, Muslims have been observing Ramadan and fasting diligently. Please have mercy on those who live as Muslims, bound by tradition and heredity, without even knowing that it is a false religion. At this time, please give Muslims who seek the true God and pray eyes to see Yeshua, the actual truth and life, and open ears to hear the gospel. Please force the Holy Spirit of God to destroy all the spirits of darkness that bind them with the love of Yeshua on the cross who died for all the sins of the world and the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Please anoint the local churches and Muslim brothers and sisters with the Holy Spirit so that they will not be ashamed of the Lord Jesus and the gospel and will be strengthened with bold faith. Please hold the churches and believers in the Muslim world to rise as a strong Christian community that destroys the spiritual stronghold filled with the spirit of Islam. We are incredibly thankful for the news that many Muslims in Iran are hearing the gospel of Yeshua Christ and converting to Christianity. Please protect the house churches in Iran that are worshipping and establishing churches with their families, not just individuals, and pour out the power of the Holy Spirit even more. In the dangerous reality of persecution and tribulation, the saints in Iran and Muslim countries say, “My salvation and my glory are in God; my strength and my refuge are in God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is our refuge” (Psalm 62:7,8). Please help and protect us, the Holy Spirit, so that we can rely on God, call upon Him as our refuge, and be victorious, as these words say. Let the Lord be a safe refuge. Let the light of the Lord’s life shine on the Islamic countries that continue to oppress and persecute good Christians who worship and serve God. Please protect the servants and saints of the Lord who spread the gospel in Islamic countries and regions, and bless the churches established in the Lord’s name.

It has been three years since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited President Trump at the White House and refused to sign the economic agreement while insisting on increased military aid. President Zelensky, who initially opposed the Russo-Russian war, failed to agree to Trump's peace agreement and went to the UK without help to receive a loan of 2.26 billion pounds (about 4.1584 trillion won). Zelenskyy's approval rating in Ukraine has increased, but without the support of the United States, EU countries cannot wage war against Russia. Russia is trying to proceed with this peace agreement while trying to seize the Ukrainian lands along the Black Sea coast that it currently occupies at great expense and military sacrifice.

Father God, President Trump's peace agreement is being proposed while the war between Russia and Ukraine continues without an end. With this agreement, Ukraine is likely to be divided into East and West over the lands occupied by Russia, and the war will continue with the help of Europe. Russian President Putin is strengthening his attacks on Ukraine and continues to threaten the United States and other Western countries with a world war. “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See to it that you are not afraid. These things must happen, but the end is not yet. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” (Matthew 24:6-7) According to this verse, we realize that the news of civil wars and wars occurring everywhere is already the beginning of disaster and indicates that the era of tribulation has arrived. Amid the problematic environment and situation caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine, please work the Holy Spirit so that the souls of the Lord’s chosen ones may come before the Lord. Amid these war news, please also quickly bring those who need to be saved from every nation, tribe, people, and language to the Lord. As we see the endless wars that were prophesied to occur and the things that oppose each other until the coming of our Lord, the Prince of Peace, let the people of faith wake up in this era, intercede, and completely prepare the way for the Lord's return. Please fill us with the Holy Spirit and let us live the life of a saint of the Word and prayer.

In February, the Florida Department of Health Services reported that more than 23,000 babies were born who would have been aborted since Florida’s “heartbeat law” went into effect. This is because the state’s “heartbeat protection law” was signed into law by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2023, protecting women and saving lives under the life-saving law. The law protects fetuses between 6 and 8 weeks of pregnancy, when the fetus’s unique heartbeat is detected, after giving pregnant women the option to see an ultrasound and 24 hours to think about it. It also provided $30 million in state funding to provide young mothers and their families with resources such as clothing, cribs, and car seats.

Father God, Florida, a major destination for women seeking abortions, lost a ballot measure in November that would have allowed abortions up to the point of viability. We thank you for upholding the life-saving law and protecting the lives of young unborn babies. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of youth” (Psalm 127:3-4). We pray that the young lives born into this world through abortion will grow into workers for the kingdom of God. Please turn away from the culture that promotes abortion and become a nation that values ​​the life that God gives and pursues God’s holiness so that the good influence of the Word may reach all nations. Please establish America more strongly as a nation that preaches the gospel, protects families, and practices biblical education. Please let America turn to the right path of God’s Word and implement policies, and let America exert a good influence on the many nations that follow America so that all nations return to godly values ​​and biblical culture. We pray that glory may be given only to the Lord’s holy name.

Father God!

Please protect the leaders working in the United States to root out the corruption built up through President Trump. Please guide the new administration and cabinet, Elon Musk, and the government efficiency team to have protection, wisdom, and discernment at every level. “That the people may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men” (Daniel 4:17). Please give them the discernment to make wise and righteous decisions to serve the people and to carry out the new work that no one has done before. Please make those who work together one mind and pray that they, their families, and their colleagues work in peace, harmony, and safety and that they can fulfill God’s purpose and plan for this country. We pray that God’s grace will be poured out during this process. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12) With this in mind, may we become leaders established by the Lord who can adequately handle exposing and eliminating corruption in our society, families, religion, government, businesses, education, arts, entertainment, and media. We pray that through these works, America will be purified again and return to biblical policies. We pray that you bless and protect President Trump and the new administration so that America can become a nation that stands uprightly according to God’s created order. Please help and use America to become a nation blessed by God and restore godly values ​​and biblical culture.

The Professors’ Association for Freedom and Justice (hereafter, JAGYOMO) held its sixth academic seminar, “The Constitutional Court should not reign over the Constitution.” Former President of the Constitutional Law Society Kim Hak-seong (Professor Emeritus, Kangwon National University), who chaired the seminar, stated the purpose of the conference: “In a situation where the president's impeachment trial decision is expected to be made around mid-March, we have decided to hold an academic conference to urge the Constitutional Court to make a proper decision.” “Looking at the recent Constitutional Court’s deliberations, it is so serious that we are questioning its very existence beyond concern,” and warned that constitutional law professors and criminal law professors should abide by the Constitution and make judgments according to their consciences regarding the illegalities revealed in the Constitutional Court’s deliberations. Father God, we thank you for allowing most people to agree that the President was an enlightenment who woke the President's people through martial law on December 3. Through this trial, the fraudulent election that was dismissed as a conspiracy theory, the tyranny of controlling the legislature, judiciary, and media that are active throughout the Republic of Korea and making judgments based on ideology, and the political agitation under the orders of North Korea and the manipulation of public opinion to control the people’s thoughts and suppress critical thinking about the system were revealed. We thank you for exposing the corruption and irregularities of the National Election Commission, which has become a family business, and for awakening the people. Thank you for preventing the Republic of Korea from handing over its liberal democracy to the pro-North Korean leftists and pro-China traitors while criticizing those who spoke out about corruption. The president, who declared martial law while witnessing the terrible incident with his own eyes and thinking that he would save the country, is currently undergoing impeachment and criminal trials on charges of sedition. Now that all the hearing procedures have been completed and the final decision of the Constitutional Court is awaited, biased judges from our law are sitting as judges and seem to have already decided the answer to this critical matter. “But the Lord saved them for his name’s sake, so that he might make his great power known to everyone. Father God, we pray earnestly, relying on your Word. Please have mercy on the president, this country, and the people. Save the president and deliver them from the hands of the enemy with your great power. Please do not ignore the voices of many jurists and citizens opposing the impeachment. I pray that the Holy Spirit will personally govern the hearts of the judges and grant them powerful grace so that the impeachment can be dismissed or overturned. In this era, please allow the Father, who has allowed us to go out to the nations with the name of Yeshua, to once again make the Republic of Korea an advanced, anti-communist, free democratic, market-economy, Christian unified nation so that it can fulfill its mission as a missionary country. Since the Father knows the path we must take, please grant us another chance and urge us by the Holy Spirit so that we can be reborn as the nation that God desires.

The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (hereinafter referred to as the NHRCK) ruled that a Christian university in Seoul that required students to take religious courses violated students’ religious freedom. It recommended opening a course that could replace the required religious courses. In response, professors stated, “The NHRCK’s decision and recommendation not only seriously violates the operation of religious schools by the freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution, but also ignores Supreme Court precedents.” “We strongly condemn the NHRCK’s decision and recommendation and demand that they be immediately withdrawn.” “The freedom of religion stipulated in Article 20 of the Constitution includes the freedom of worship, missionary work, and education at private universities, and guarantees students the right to choose a private school that fits their educational views and values.” “The Ministry of Education’s approval of establishing a private university means that the realization of worship, missionary work, and education at private universities is guaranteed based on the freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution.”

Father God, we thank you for allowing universities to speak out to respect the freedom of choice when the Human Rights Commission seriously violates the freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution by asserting human rights based on biased ideology. The Human Rights Commission is pressuring and damaging religious freedom by recommending measures such as additionally opening alternative subjects for religious subjects or assigning alternative assignments. Some say, “The Human Rights Commission is running wild like the Red Guards during the Chinese Cultural Revolution, and there are concerns that this will cause serious and irreversible social harm.” We strongly demand that you immediately stop asserting human rights based on biased ideology.

Father God, please intervene so that we can correct the wrong judgment of the National Human Rights Commission that ignores the freedom of religion stipulated in the Constitution, restricts mandatory religious courses at Christian universities, and violates religious freedom. The Human Rights Commission, which claims that immoral homosexuality and even polygamy are human rights, as in the Constitutional Court ruling, is obsessed with biased ideology and ignores sound ethics and morals. They also do not hesitate to make decisions that violate the freedom of religion guaranteed in the Constitution and even ignore Supreme Court precedents. Please turn away from the irresponsibility of asserting that immoral gender ideology that goes against the word of God’s truth and is not socially agreed upon is human rights and of promoting social evils that seek to destroy the family, which is the foundation of society. “Do not take the word of truth out of my mouth. I have put my hope in your law. I will walk freely, for your precepts are my bond. I will not be ashamed. “I will speak your precepts before kings.” (Psalm 119:43, 45, 46) Like this verse, please do not let college students be robbed of the word of truth. Give them the strength to stand firm in the truth and boldly confront the word of God as the light of the world in a world that is becoming increasingly dark. Please rule over the Human Rights Commission and make a sound judgment so that it never infringes on the autonomous religious freedom of college students. “Your people willingly offer themselves in the day of your power, in holy attire; your young men, like the dew of the morning, come to you” (Psalm 110:3) Please raise young men in each university like the dew of the morning who will willingly offer themselves in these last days so that they can firmly establish the kingdom of God. Please abolish the evil laws that destroy worship, the word, and prayer and directly affect the gospel so that more college students who firmly keep their faith without compromising with injustice will rise and spur campus evangelization as they are oppressed. Please grant them great grace.
